There are great information resources online. But they may not be obvious or easy to find through a Google search. That’s where librarians come in. They are professionals at finding information. Students love to just look on the Internet for “stuff.” But that just isn’t enough. - Wasn’t the Fairness Doctrine killed 24 years ago?
Yes, but until this week the rules were still on the books. The FCC finally got rid of more than 80 media industry rules. (Does this mean that popular radio show hosts can finally stop claiming the federal government is bringing these rules back?)UPDATE: Wonkbook’s Dylan Matthews has a clear summary of the importance of the death of the Fairness Doctrine.
