I’ve been so busy putting up links to go with the upcoming 4th edition to Mass Communication: Living in a Media World that I haven’t had time to question anything lately. So here we go:
- Does Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander pay attention to which politicians are quoting him?
Yes, he does. And he can be wicked with his responses to them…. - Was it really a trap?
Not so much. Instead it was a great opportunity for a radio actor to give Admiral Ackbar his voice. - Who, exactly, is censoring Pat Buchanan?
No one, as far as I can tell. MSNBC dropped him as an analyst, but he seems to be doing ok selling his book Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025? and finding media attention. (HINT: If you are in the Top 200 bestselling books at Amazon, you really aren’t being censored. Just sayin’.) - Is advertising Kotex funny?
Kotex sure hopes so. Company trying to reclaim market share with comedians mocking their products. - Why can’t you legally buy a copy of HBO’s Game of Thrones?
The Oatmeal takes a brilliant, if vulgar, look at an unsuccessful attempt to legally buy a copy of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Maybe people are “pirating” media content because the creators refuse to sell it to us. - Can Pinterest cope with copyright and porn?
Apparently not. Pinterest is in trouble over copyright images on their pinboards. Also, folks are complaining about porn on Pinterest as well.
