Going to take the lazy way out on this and just put up the Twitter thread….
My mother read The Hobbit and many of the Narnia books to me at bedtime as a grade schooler. I loved them for that reason and because they were such good stories!

Mom also read us most of the Little House books on long road trips. I always liked Farmer Boy, the story of Wilder's husband's childhood the best because of all the food in it.

I did like the Ramona, Beezus and Henry Huggins novels from both my childhood and those of my children, but my real love for Beverly Cleary comes from The Mouse and the Motorcycle stories. No surprise there if you know me. pic.twitter.com/goT2NhtZT2

To finish this out, Dear Wife and I have two new grandsons. Both of them have copies of Goodnight Moon from us. Though I must confess I was really tempted to send Goodnight Keith Moon…. Not sure that would be appreciated.https://t.co/31fLd52Yhp pic.twitter.com/6q7d9MBBYk
